Dangerous Dengue

courtesy: Google.org - Google dengue trends

We Indian's lack cleanliness sense totally, and see the effects of this now. AIIMS director is among one of the Dengue affected patients. Such a pathetic state to be in, isn't it?

The municipal authorities are equally responsible if not less for this mess, if you see the google trends about Dengue , you can see that this disease is spread pan India equally. Recently a high profile Director/Producer Yash Chopra lost his life because of Dengue. Sad , RIP Yash ji. What made me outrageous was one of my kiddo cousin was also affected in school, Thank God , now she is fine and back to her full energy.

What makes Dengue more dangerous is that, it is caused by Virus and as we know, there is no medication for Virus induced diseases , because there will new a strain of virus each day or maybe lesser interval. It is also a very costly disease to acquire, as the patient will need many bottles of platelets.

I just hope that the cases of Dengue decrease in coming days and people are spared from this deadly disease. Not relying completely on the municipal authorities (which is a costly affair), we can do our bit, by maintaining cleanliness around our houses, not letting mosquito larvae to breed. Use mosquito repellents and my favorite (use mosquito nets at night) ;-)

Apologies for such a depressing post on a festival day. Anyways Happy festival, eat well :).
Stay safe. Take care.
