Advertising Bloopers


A product development is such a meticulous process involving lots of hardwork spread over several years in 'n' number of phases. We can imagine the efforts gone in from the design phase, fierce debates about the features, pricing, target customer etc. Then the important phase of product development, followed by the testing, packaging. After all these phases in the all important final lap when you are showcasing your product to the end user, to whom you are making the pitch about the product, how anyone stumble so cheaply. I am serious puzzled, how can anyone form such pathetic advertising campaigns. If you are wondering what am I talking about. Here it is -

1. Recently I have been hearing Blackberry Z10 advertisements on Radio. For a smartphone which costs approx 30,000 Rupees, you cannot joke about the product. Yes, seriously.. I feel it is a joke. You know what the ad content says - New Blackberry Z10 with fastest browser and unique keypad.!! Come on, anyone buying a 30K phone wouldn't buy it for a fast keypad. Get over your dream guys. Please do not undermine the hardwork put up by so many people in your company with such pathetic ad campaigns. I do not have the clipping, will soon try to record it and post here.

2. One another horrible ad in recent times. Akshay Kumar's Micromax Bolt advertisement featuring a character named Usian Bolt. No I cannot explain more. Please have a look yourselves.



What do I have to say about this!? No this is not funny, it seriously irritates me.

Just a small article on my frustrations about recent Advertising Bloopers. Will keep posting more to this post.

And to add to that, an athlete puts so much hard work into his profession even if he is a failure, let alone the fasted man on earth. To take his name so shamelessly is beyond my comprehension.
